Atíke Pekel

Atíke is working as an interactive media designer with more than 4 years of experience. She received her bachelor's degree in 2003 from Yildiz Technical University in Istanbul. Her graduation project was designing a game for teenagers with a story inspired from the history of Ottoman Empire. The interface and graphics were designed by using the typologies of miniature art technique.

In 2007,she obtained a MSc in Digital Media from Bremen University, Germany. She worked with "exnemo" group to design "citizenmob" as an online, multiplayer, location based game which is based upon mobile phone technology. Her main focus during the project was graphics, interaction and the interface design of the game. Her final thesis was about aesthetics of interaction within the topics of the algorithmic art of Vera Molnar, the mathematics of magical squares, and the media design problem of interaction design.

After completing her classes in the post-graduate design program 'User-System Interaction' at Eindhoven Technical University, she joined the Games@Large project.
